Is it permanent? We can guarantee a permanent reduction in hair growth.  Factors such as stress and hormonal changes can stimulate hair growth, so we are unable to guarantee against physiological factors such as these, but the majority of our clients find the procedure to be very effective.   What are the risks and side effects? The only risk is if you have naturally darker skin.  People with naturally darker skin can still be treated effectively, but must be treated less aggressively because of the risk of burning.   How does the laser work? The laser is attracted to pigment in the hair.  It liquefies the hair and damages the follicle, making it unable to grow another hair.  Because the laser is attracted to pigment, we must be careful when treating darker skin types, and cannot treat tanned skin.   What kind of results can I expect? The majority of our clients find that they have excellent results with Laser Hair Removal.  In most cases, there is no re-growth upon completion of the package.   Who is a candidate for laser hair removal? The only limitation to this procedure is hair color.  Because the laser is attracted to the pigment in the hair follicle, it is not effective on fine blond, white, or red hairs.    Does everyone need the full # of treatments? Because of the growth cycles of hair, most people do require the full # of treatments.   What are the costs? Costs will vary depending on the area being treated, type of growth, and size of the area.  Payment plans area available interest-free over 1 year.   How do I get started? We can book you in for a complimentary consultation at which time the consultant can go through the whole procedure with you, show you some before and after pictures, and give you an idea of what type of results you can expect.  At this time, you will also be given a quote based on your individual needs.   Is it painful? It is best described as the feeling of an elastic band being snapped gently against your skin.  Most people do not find the laser overly uncomfortable, but there is a topical cream called EMLA that can be applied 1 hour before your appointment to numb the area.  This cream can be purchased over-the-counter at any pharmacy.   What areas can be done? We are able to treat almost any area of the body.  One exception is the eyebrow area.  We can treat between and above, but not below the brows, as it is too close to the eye to use the laser.
